Glenwood Gators (Phenix City, AL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Southern Prep Academy Fighting Rangers (Camp Hill, AL), 81-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Glenwood upgrades its record to 17-5 on the season. The Gators travel to Lee-Scott Academy (Auburn, AL) to play the Warriors in a AISA AAA Region 1 bout on Thursday, January 11. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 13-1. Lee-Scott Academy won 73-33 in their recent non-league bout against Edgewood Academy (Elmore, AL)

Next up, the Fighting Rangers play the Springwood Wildcats (Lanett, AL) in a AISA AAA Region 1 bout, on Thursday, January 11. Southern Prep Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 56-55 league win over Valiant Cross Academy (Montgomery, AL).
