The Hokes Bluff Eagles (Hokes Bluff, AL) basketball felled the visiting Saks Wildcats (Anniston, AL), 48-31 in Monday's non-league test.
The Eagles (10-6) will now prepare for their test against Glencoe (Glencoe, AL). The Yellowjackets go into the 3A Area 12 test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Glencoe thwarted Comer (Sylacauga, AL), 62-60, in a non-league test.
The Wildcats now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Central of Clay County for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 9. Saks will encounter a Volunteers squad coming off a 43-38 non-league loss to Cleburne County (Heflin, AL). The Volunteers record now stands at 10-4.
