Maryland High School Basketball - Poolesville falls to Magruder

January 8, 2024: Poolesville, MD 20837

In Monday's league match, the visiting Magruder Colonels basketball team scored a good 47-36 triumph over the Poolesville Falcons.

In their next game, the Colonels meet the Damascus Hornets (Damascus, MD) in a Montgomery 3A/2A North match, on Friday, January 12. Magruder will attempt to move on its 9-1 season record. The Hornets enter the match with a 4-5 record after their 57-40 league win over Watkins Mill (Gaithersburg, MD).

With the defeat, Poolesville moves to 3-5 on the year. The Falcons travel to Rockville (Rockville, MD) to face the Rams in a Montgomery 3A/2A North game on Friday, January 12. The Rams enter the game with a record of 1-7. Rockville lost 77-52 in their recent non-league game against Sherwood (Sandy Spring, MD)
