The West Rutland Golden Horde (West Rutland, VT) basketball felled the visiting Mill River Minutemen (North Clarendon, VT), 59-47 in Monday's non-league test.

The Golden Horde (8-1) will now prepare for their test against Sharon Academy (Sharon, VT). The Phoenix go into the Southern Vermont - D test with a 0-7 record. In their last test, Sharon Academy was beaten by Long Trail (Dorset, VT), 75-26, in a league test.

The Minutemen now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Otter Valley for a non-league test on Thursday, January 11.
