The West Ouachita Chiefs basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the visiting Ouachita Christian Eagles to 42 in the Chiefs non-league victory on Monday.

The Chiefs now sport a 8-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Monroe for a 5A District 2 contest on Tuesday, January 9. West Ouachita will battle a Rebels team coming off a 74-72 non-league loss to Carroll (Monroe, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 9-7.

The Eagles (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Simsboro (Simsboro, LA). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 14-11 record. In their last contest, Simsboro was routed by Arcadia (Arcadia, LA), 71-64, in a non-league contest.
