The Van Buren County Eagles basketball team (Spencer, TN), was nudged 49-43 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Sequatchie County Indians (Dunlap, TN)

The Indians now possess a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sale Creek for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 9. Sequatchie County will confront a Panthers team coming off a 57-26 non-league win over Grace Baptist Academy (Chattanooga, TN). The Panthers record now stands at 11-5.

The Eagles (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Howard Tech (Chattanooga, TN). The Hustlin' Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 7-9 record. In their last battle, Howard Tech was nudged by Bradley Central (Cleveland, TN), 62-53, in a league battle.
