The Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Manteno Panthers (Manteno, IL), 36-30 in Monday's league test.
The Coalers (6-1) will now prepare for their test against Lisle (Lisle, IL). The Lions go into the test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Lisle was tipped by Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL), 37-34, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Peotone for a non-league test on Thursday, January 11.
