Bayfront Charter Sharks (Chula Vista, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Horizon Prep Lions (Rancho Santa Fe, CA), 45-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Bayfront Charter upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Sharks host Preuss UCSD (La Jolla, CA) to clash with the Tritons in a Patriot bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Tritons go into the bout with a record of 2-12. Preuss UCSD lost 34-23 in their recent non-league bout against Castle Park (Chula Vista, CA)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Liberty Charter Lions (Alpine, CA) in a Summit bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Horizon Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 45-25 non-league loss to San Pasqual (Escondido, CA).
