The Leonia Lions basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Bogota Buccaneers to 23 in the Lions non-league triumph on Monday.

The Lions now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Park Ridge for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 10. Leonia will battle a Owls team coming off a 66-26 non-league loss to Saddle River Day (Saddle River, NJ). The Owls record now stands at 8-1.

The Buccaneers (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Waldwick (Waldwick, NJ). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Waldwick triumphed over Midland Park (Midland Park, NJ), 63-17, in a league contest.
