The Central Eagles basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Buford Yellowjackets to 45 in the Eagles league triumph on Monday.

The Eagles now sport a 3-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Andrew Jackson for a AA Region 5 contest on Friday, January 12. Central will meet a Volunteers team coming off a 79-24 league win over Buford (Lancaster, SC). The Volunteers record now stands at 11-4.

The Yellowjackets (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against York Prep (Rock Hill, SC). The Patriots enter the AA Region 5 contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, York Prep ran past Westminster Catawba Christian (Rock Hill, SC), 51-44, in a non-league contest.
