Wakefield Cardinals (Wakefield, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chassell Panthers (Chassell, MI), 59-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Wakefield upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Cardinals host Dollar Bay (Dollar Bay, MI) to clash with the Bays in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Bays go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Dollar Bay lost 58-44 in their recent non-league bout against Johnston (Bessemer, MI)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Ontonagon Gladiators (Ontonagon, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Chassell will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Gladiators go into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 35-20 non-league loss to Jeffers (Painesdale, MI).
