The Clifton Central Comets basketball team scored 37 points and held the visiting Momence Momence Athletics to 31 in the Comets league triumph on Monday.

The Comets now sport a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Iroquois West for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Clifton Central will meet a Raiders team coming off a 44-31 league win over Westville (Westville, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 11-7.

The Momence Athletics (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Donovan/St. Anne (Donovan, IL). The enter the River Valley contest with a 3-8 record. In their last contest, Donovan/St. Anne was nudged by Grant Park (Grant Park, IL), 33-23, in a league contest.
