Meigs Marauders (Pomeroy, OH) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Eastern Eagles (Reedsville, OH), 55-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Meigs upgrades its record to 4-8 on the season. The Marauders travel to Vinton County (McArthur, OH) to play the Vikings in a Tri-Valley - Ohio bout on Thursday, January 11. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Vinton County won 50-36 in their recent non-league bout against Northwest (McDermott, OH)

Next up, the Eagles play the Waterford Wildcats (Waterford, OH) in a Tri-Valley - Hocking bout, on Thursday, January 11. Eastern will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 10-1 record after their 37-27 non-league win over Fort Frye (Beverly, OH).
