In Monday's non-league outing, the Perry County Central Commodores (Hazard, KY) basketball squad beat the visiting Estill County Engineers (Irvine, KY), by a count of 73-57.

The Commodores (10-4) will now prepare for their outing against Buckhorn (Buckhorn, KY). The Wildcats go into the District 54 outing with a 4-8 record.

The Engineers now hold a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Powell County for a District 56 outing on Friday, January 12.
