Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Hononegah Indians (Rockton, IL) and the visiting Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL), saw Hononegah's basketball squad wallop Jefferson by a count of 58-30.

With the victory, Hononegah upgrades its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Indians host Guilford (Rockford, IL) to play the Vikings in a Northern Illinois 10 challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 12-8. Guilford won 68-16 in their recent league challenge against Rockford East (Rockford, IL)

Next up, the J-Hawks play the Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL) in a Northern Illinois 10 challenge, on Wednesday, January 10. Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Pretzels come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 62-57 non-league loss to Winnebago (Winnebago, IL).
