In Monday's non-league outing, the Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Landstown Eagles (Virginia Beach, VA), by a count of 77-40.

The Warriors (7-1) will now prepare for their outing against Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA). The Bruins go into the Southeastern outing with a 8-4 record. In their last outing, Western Branch smashed Heritage (Newport News, VA), 48-26, in a league outing.

The Eagles now hold a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to Kellam for a Beach outing on Tuesday, January 9. Landstown will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 65-34 league win over Bayside (Virginia Beach, VA). The Knights record now stands at 9-2.
