McKeesport Tigers (McKeesport, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Thomas Jefferson Jaguars (Jefferson Hills, PA), 53-40 in a league bout.

With the win, McKeesport upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Tigers host Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA) to play the Warriors in a WPIAL 5A 3 bout on Thursday, January 11. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Penn-Trafford lost 59-44 in their recent league bout against Oakland Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Greater Latrobe Wildcats (Latrobe, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 3 bout, on Thursday, January 11. Thomas Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record.
