The Parry McCluer Fighting Blues routed the host Nelson County Governors basketball team by a final score of 60-9 in Monday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Fighting Blues face the Bath County Chargers (Hot Springs, VA) in a Pioneer game, on Tuesday, January 9. Parry McCluer will attempt to move on its 8-2 season record.

With the defeat, Nelson County moves to 0-9 on the year. The Governors travel to Gretna (Gretna, VA) to face the Hawks in a Dogwood game on Friday, January 12. The Hawks enter the game with a record of 2-8. Gretna lost 48-47 in their recent non-league game against Martinsville (Martinsville, VA)
