Stephenson Eagles (Stephenson, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Rapid River Rockets (Rapid River, MI), 51-9 in a league bout.

With the win, Stephenson upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Forest Park (Crystal Falls, MI) to confront the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 12. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 2-7. Forest Park lost 63-30 in their recent non-league challenge against West Iron County (Iron River, MI)

Next up, the Rockets confront the Big Bay de Noc Black Bears (Cooks, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 11. Rapid River will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record.
