Spring Grove Lions (Spring Grove, MN) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Southland Rebels (Adams, MN), 63-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Spring Grove upgrades its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Grand Meadow (Grand Meadow, MN) to play the Superlarks in a A Section 1 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Superlarks come into the bout with a record of 7-5. Grand Meadow won 64-43 in their recent league bout against Schaeffer Academy (Rochester, MN)

Next up, the Rebels play the LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals (LeRoy, MN) in a A Section 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Southland will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 1-10 record after their 59-44 league win over Lyle/Pacelli (Lyle, MN).
