Ohio High School Basketball - Waverly can't hold off Wheelersburg

The Wheelersburg Pirates basketball team scored 35 points and restricted the visiting Waverly Tigers to 32 in the Pirates league victory on Monday.
The Pirates now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valley for a Southern Ohio III contest on Thursday, January 11. Wheelersburg will battle a Indians team coming off a 62-19 league loss to Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH). The Indians record now stands at 5-7.
The Tigers (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against South Webster (South Webster, OH). The Jeeps come into the Southern Ohio III contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, South Webster was nudged by Minford (Minford, OH), 45-42, in a league contest.
