James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host May River Sharks (Bluffton, SC), 31-13 in a league bout.

With the win, James Island upgrades its record to 15-0 on the season. The Trojans host Colleton County (Walterboro, SC) to clash with the Cougars in a bout on Thursday, January 11. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Colleton County lost 17-8 in their recent non-league bout against Hilton Head Island (Hilton Head Island, SC)

Next up, the Sharks clash with the St. Andrew's Lions (Savannah, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. May River will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 26-16 non-league loss to Effingham County (Springfield, GA).
