Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host West Mesa Mustangs (Albuquerque, NM), 39-27 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cibola upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Golden Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a record of 4-5. Eldorado won 64-41 in their recent non-league bout against Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. West Mesa will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record.
