In Wednesday's league test, the Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA), by a score of 59-40.
Next, the Mountaineers encounter the Squalicum Storm (Bellingham, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest test, on Saturday, January 11. Mt. Baker will attempt to improve on its 7-4 season record. The Storm come into the test with a 5-6 record after their 46-29 non-league win over Cedarcrest (Duvall, WA).
The Borderites (2-7) will now prepare for their test against Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA). The Lyncs come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest test with a 10-1 record. In their last test, Lynden Christian beat Meridian (Bellingham, WA), 71-57, in a league test.
