The Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks basketball squad (Maricopa, AZ), was crushed 72-38 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Cactus Shadows Falcons (Cave Creek, AZ)

With the victory, Cactus Shadows advances its record to 9-3 on the year. The Falcons travel to Saguaro (Scottsdale, AZ) to clash with the Sabercats in a 4A Desert Sky test on Friday, January 10. The Sabercats come into the test with a record of 11-5. Saguaro lost 58-53 in their recent league test against Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ)

The Golden Hawks (2-13) will now prepare for their test against Dysart (El Mirage, AZ). The Demons come into the 4A Black Canyon test with a 11-4 record. In their last test, Dysart bounced Tempe (Tempe, AZ), 62-46, in a league test.
