The La Mirada Matadores basketball team scored 87 points and limited the host Lynwood Knights to 56 in the Matadores league triumph on Wednesday.

The Matadores now possess a 16-4 record. They play next when they travel to Rancho Cucamonga for a non-league game on Saturday, January 11. La Mirada will confront a Cougars team coming off a 76-62 non-league win over Oakland Tech (Oakland, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 15-6.

With the loss, Lynwood falls to 3-15 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Dominguez (Compton, CA) to confront the Dons in a Gateway game on Friday, January 10. The Dons go into the game with a record of 9-7. Dominguez lost 101-46 in their recent league game against Mayfair (Lakewood, CA)
