In Wednesday's league contest, the visiting Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars basketball team scored a good 64-50 triumph over the Loyola Blakefield Dons.

The Cougars (14-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Pallotti (Laurel, MD). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 5-8 record. In their last challenge, Pallotti dropped by Potomac School (McLean, VA), 56-55, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Dons encounter the McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD) in a MIAA A - Red challenge, on Friday, January 10. Loyola Blakefield will attempt to improve on its 11-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 64-57 league loss to St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD).
