South Carolina High School Basketball - Saluda holds off McCormick

January 8, 2025: McCormick, SC 29835

The Saluda Tigers basketball team scored 50 points and limited the host McCormick Chiefs to 48 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Tigers now have a 8-3 record. They play next when they travel to American Leadership Academy for a AA Region 2 game on Tuesday, January 14. Saluda will confront a Patriots team coming off a 63-40 non-league loss to Hammond (Columbia, SC). The Patriots record now stands at 3-11.

With the loss, McCormick falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Chiefs host Thornwell (Clinton, SC) to confront the Saints in a A Region 1 game on Thursday, January 9. The Saints go into the game with a record of 2-7. Thornwell lost 59-47 in their recent league game against Ware Shoals (Ware Shoals, SC)
