Illinois High School Basketball - Teutopolis nips Monticello

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Teutopolis Wooden Shoes basketball team scored a close 41-37 triumph over the Monticello Sages.
The Wooden Shoes (10-4) will now prepare for their contest against New Berlin (New Berlin, IL). The Pretzels go into the non-league contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, New Berlin nipped Pawnee (Pawnee, IL), 60-35, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Sages battle the Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL) in a Illini Prairie contest, on Friday, January 10. Monticello will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Grey Ghosts go into the contest with a 6-9 record after their 58-27 non-league win over Midland (Varna, IL).
