California High School Basketball - St. Bernard thwarts St. Anthony

January 8, 2025: Playa del Rey, CA 90293

The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the St. Bernard Vikings (Playa del Rey, CA) and the visiting St. Anthony Saints (Long Beach, CA), observed St. Bernard's basketball team knock off St. Anthony by a score of 67-59.

The Vikings (14-5) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Monica (Santa Monica, CA). The Mariners come into the Del Rey challenge with a 14-6 record. In their last challenge, St. Monica dropped by Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA), 47-41, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Saints battle the Serra Cavaliers (Gardena, CA) in a Del Rey challenge, on Friday, January 10. St. Anthony will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 55-48 league loss to St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA).
