The James F. Byrnes Rebels basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host Spartanburg Vikings to 31 in the Rebels non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the loss, Spartanburg falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Gaffney (Gaffney, SC) to confront the Indians in a non-league game on Monday, January 13. The Indians go into the game with a record of 2-1.
