Austin-East Roadrunners (Knoxville, TN) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host West Rebels (Knoxville, TN), 71-27 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Austin-East advances its record to 10-7 on the year. The Roadrunners travel to Oneida (Oneida, TN) to face the Indians in a 2A District 2 match on Thursday, January 9. The Indians enter the match with a record of 3-6.

The Rebels now own a 0-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Farragut for a 4A District 4 match on Tuesday, January 14. West will face a Admirals squad coming off a 70-33 league win over William Blount (Maryville, TN). The Admirals record now stands at 12-6.
