The Blue Devils (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Chase (Forest City, NC). The Trojans come into the 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 challenge with a 3-9 record. In their last challenge, Chase was tipped by Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC), 75-8, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Warhorses encounter the NCSSM: Morganton Dragons (Morganton, NC) in a 1A/2A Western Highlands challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Owen will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 55-12 league loss to Madison (Marshall, NC).
