Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC), 54-35 in a league match.

With the victory, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy upgrades its record to 7-3 on the year. The Gryphons host East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC) to face the Warriors in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont challenge on Wednesday, January 15. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 2-11.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC) in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Burns will attempt to better on its 9-5 season record.
