North Carolina High School Basketball - South Granville trounced by Carrboro

January 8, 2025: Carrboro, NC 27510

Carrboro Jaguars (Carrboro, NC) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting South Granville Vikings (Creedmoor, NC), 69-23 in a league match.

With the victory, Carrboro advances its record to 5-5 on the year. The Jaguars host Durham School of the Arts (Durham, NC) to face the Bulldogs in a 2A/3A Northern Lakes match on Friday, January 10. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 1-10. Durham School of the Arts lost 67-42 in their recent league match against Louisburg (Louisburg, NC)

The Vikings now own a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Granville Central for a 2A/3A Northern Lakes match on Thursday, January 9. South Granville will face a Panthers squad coming off a 66-21 league loss to Vance County (Henderson, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 1-6.
