In Wednesday's non-league test, the Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) basketball squad trounced the visiting Reidsville Rams (Reidsville, NC), by a score of 59-24.

Next, the Cougars encounter the High Point Central Bison (High Point, NC) in a 3A Mid-State test, on Thursday, January 9. Rockingham County will attempt to improve on its 12-1 season record. The Bison come into the test with a 0-11 record after their 58-30 league loss to Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC).

The Rams (2-7) will now prepare for their test against West Stokes (King, NC). The Wildcats come into the 2A Mid-State test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, West Stokes was routed by South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC), 57-31, in a non-league test.
