The Easton Bears (Easton, ME) basketball crushed the host Ashland Hornets (Ashland, ME), 64-36 in Monday's league test.
The Bears (9-1) will now prepare for their test against Wisdom (St. Agatha, ME). The Pioneers go into the D North test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, Wisdom walloped East Grand (Dansforth, ME), 65-43, in a non-league test.
The Hornets now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Southern Aroostook for a D North test on Wednesday, January 11. Ashland will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 74-26 league win over Washburn (Washburn, ME). The Warriors record now stands at 8-0.
