Louisiana High School Basketball - Barbe can't hold off Sulphur

The Sulphur Golden Tors basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Barbe Buccaneers to 50 in the Golden Tors league triumph on Monday.
The Golden Tors now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sam Houston for a 5A District 3 contest on Thursday, January 12. Sulphur will battle a Broncos team coming off a 43-38 non-league win over Singer (Singer, LA). The Broncos record now stands at 8-5.
The Buccaneers (12-7) will now prepare for their bout against Merryville (Merryville, LA). The Panthers go into the non-league bout with a 12-7 record. In their last bout, Merryville held off Pitkin (Pitkin, LA), 53-46, in a non-league bout.
