New York High School Basketball - Peru overwhelmed by Beekmantown

The Beekmantown Eagles basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the visiting Peru Nighthawks to 28 in the Eagles league victory on Monday.

The Eagles now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Moriah for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I contest on Thursday, January 12. Beekmantown will battle a Vikings team coming off a 73-41 league win over Saranac (Saranac, NY). The Vikings record now stands at 7-0.

The Nighthawks (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against AuSable Valley (Clintonville, NY). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, AuSable Valley was routed by Northern Adirondack (Ellenburg Depot, NY), 53-40, in a league contest.
