Brantley Bulldogs (Brantley, AL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Goshen Eagles (Goshen, AL), 59-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Brantley upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Florala (Florala, AL) to clash with the Wildcats in a 1A Area 2 bout on Thursday, January 12. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 11-5. Florala won 69-52 in their recent league bout against Kinston (Kinston, AL)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Highland Home Flying Squadron (Highland Home, AL) in a 2A Area 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Goshen will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Flying Squadron go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 64-55 league win over Zion Chapel (Jack, AL).
