Clarke County Bulldogs (Grove Hill, AL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Millry Wildcats (Millry, AL), 55-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Clarke County upgrades its record to 1-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Chickasaw (Chickasaw, AL) to play the Chieftains in a 2A Area 1 bout on Friday, January 13. The Chieftains come into the bout with a record of 4-11. Chickasaw lost 46-43 in their recent league bout against Blacksher (Uriah, AL)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Marengo Panthers (Dixons Mills, AL) in a 1A Area 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Millry will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 48-31 non-league win over University Charter (Livingston, AL).
