The Escondido Adventist Academy Hawks (Escondido, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Coastal Academy Stingrays (Oceanside, CA), 44-40 in Monday's league test.

The Hawks (4-7) will now prepare for their test against Rock Academy (San Diego, CA). The Warriors go into the Ocean test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Rock Academy got by Classical Academy (Escondido, CA), 59-45, in a league test.

The Stingrays now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Mountain Empire for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 10. Coastal Academy will encounter a Redhawks squad coming off a 80-24 non-league loss to El Cajon Valley (El Cajon, CA). The Redhawks record now stands at 0-7.
