The Waterford Lancers (Waterford, CT) basketball nipped the host East Lyme Vikings (East Lyme, CT), 54-47 in Monday's non-league test.
The Lancers (2-7) will now prepare for their test against Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT). The Centaurs go into the Eastern Connecticut II test with a 2-7 record. In their last test, Woodstock Academy was tipped by Cheney RVT (Manchester, CT), 37-34, in a non-league test.
The Vikings now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Stonington for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 10. East Lyme will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 56-45 non-league win over Griswold (Griswold, CT). The Bears record now stands at 4-1.
