Puyallup Vikings (Puyallup, WA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Emerald Ridge Jaguars (South Hill, WA), 55-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Puyallup upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Vikings host Bellarmine Prep (Tacoma, WA) to play the Lions in a 4A South Puget Sound - North bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 7-8. Bellarmine Prep won 78-36 in their recent league bout against South Kitsap (Port Orchard, WA)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Sumner Spartans (Sumner, WA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Emerald Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 68-51 league loss to Puyallup (Puyallup, WA).
