The Gilbert Yellowjackets basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Terryville Kangaroos to 52 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Monday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Litchfield for a Berkshire contest on Tuesday, January 10. Gilbert will battle a Cowboys team coming off a 63-59 league loss to Wamogo Regional (Litchfield, CT). The Cowboys record now stands at 2-6.

The Kangaroos (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Housatonic-Wamogo (Falls Village, CT). The Mountaineers enter the non-league contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Housatonic-Wamogo was defeated by O'Brien RVT (Ansonia, CT), 55-38, in a non-league contest.
