Richland Center Hornets (Richland Center, WI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lancaster Flying Arrows (Lancaster, WI), 51-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Richland Center upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Hornets host River Valley (Spring Green, WI) to play the Blackhawks in a Southwest Wisconsin bout on Thursday, January 12. The Blackhawks go into the bout with a record of 1-10. River Valley lost 72-35 in their recent non-league bout against Darlington (Darlington, WI)

Next up, the Flying Arrows play the Potosi Chieftains (Potosi, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Lancaster will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Chieftains go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 63-43 league win over Belmont (Belmont, WI).
