The Paint Branch Panthers (Burtonsville, MD) basketball nipped the visiting Northwood Gladiators (Silver Spring, MD), 66-61 in Monday's league test.
The Panthers (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Poolesville (Poolesville, MD). The Falcons go into the non-league test with a 5-5 record.
The Gladiators now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Sherwood for a Montgomery 4A East test on Wednesday, January 11. Northwood will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 58-17 non-league win over Wheaton (Silver Spring, MD). The Warriors record now stands at 8-2.
