Michigan High School Basketball - Reese thwarts Valley Lutheran

The Reese Rockets (Reese, MI) basketball knocked off the host Valley Lutheran Chargers (Saginaw, MI), 57-47 in Monday's non-league test.

The Rockets (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Bad Axe (Bad Axe, MI). The Hatchets go into the Greater Thumb - West test with a 7-0 record. In their last test, Bad Axe notched a victory over Cass City (Cass City, MI), 50-41, in a league test.

The Chargers now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Standish-Sterling for a non-league test on Friday, January 13. Valley Lutheran will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 56-55 non-league win over Bay City Western (Auburn, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 7-0.
