Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Albemarle School Colts (Elizabeth City, NC) and the host Ridgecroft Rams (Ahoskie, NC), saw Albemarle School's basketball squad hold off Ridgecroft by a tally of 41-37.

With the victory, Albemarle School improves its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Colts host First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC) to play the Nighthawks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Nighthawks come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. First Flight won 50-32 in their recent league challenge against Holmes (Edenton, NC)

Next up, the Rams play the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders (Belhaven, NC) in a NCISAA Tarheel challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Ridgecroft will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 15-1 record after their 45-35 league win over Lawrence Academy (Merry Hill, NC).
