Griffith Institute Griffins (Springville, NY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Alden Bulldogs (Alden, NY), 58-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Griffith Institute upgrades its record to 2-5 on the season. The Griffins travel to Holland (Holland, NY) to play the Dutchmen in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Dutchmen go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Holland won 42-17 in their recent league bout against Cleveland Hill (Cheektowaga, NY)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Kennedy Bears (Cheektowaga, NY) in a Section 6 Erie County IV bout, on Saturday, January 14. Alden will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record.
